THE BOSS

R&B singer Kelis was out and about with friend Damon Perruzi in the Los Angeles over the weekend celebrating his birthday. It's the first time the prego Bossy wife of rapper Nas has been seen since announcing that she was expecting a little one . The couple have confirmed they are having a baby boy.Congratulations!

How I've missed Kelis! Drop the load and get back to it damnit!!

One of my favorite Kelis records:

Heartbreak Hotel

The muttering silence and whispering walls talked about me while the full moon's glare sneaked in my window
crawling the the creeks of the floor
My heart's chambers collapsed
the footsteps got closer...
I've never experienced such vivid pain
Thoughts in my mind played obsolete
My throat was dry
Hands were dirty
The creaking doors slowly opened
My windows were nailed shut
Each nail hammered in with the tool of my damnation
Wimpering like I was 5 and it was my frist horror film
A silent scream awakened my senses
first hit across my face
second hit, I hit the marble floor
these eyes bled tears at the memories that slowly caressed my veins
my life was depleted
I managed to kick over the only source of protection
my candle brewed angry flames
all these prized possesions were going to become yesterday's tomorrow
I ran until my feet developed blisters
Completely out of breath
But every step I took led me one step back
...so long heartbreak hotel...
Never again shall I me charmed by your wicked smile
Not again will you taste the sweet nectar from my lips
....heartbreak hotel may have many victims trapped...
But my soul and spirit is way too grand for that
Never again heartbreak hotel

Marc Jacobs Fall '09

Marc Jacobs has always been awkward and head on to embracing alot of fashion , but this collection is anything but placid. Being a mix of trends, colors, styles and fabrics that have been carefully yet wildy been placed together, and it works! Starting with nice gray silhouettes, classic pants and ending with football shoulders and bold bright acid colors. See the whole bright colors and 80s look has been long gone for me ( I see alot of people haven't got the memo) but this collection obtained and captured the soul of the 80s just in the right light .
You can now look through your mother’s and possibly grandmother’s closet But you better pay your undivided attention to velvet, scarves, satin topper coats, cardigans and flannel pants to properly deliver!

As for other features, the collection is full of neon-sparked fabric , simple chic and artsy eighties spirit. His fashion is outrageously fun and well put together brave … like?

Aubrey Does Chelsea

I feel like Aubrey has been getting ragged by the media and you know people always believe what the media says! Why are people so disgusted about her doing Playboy and being comfortable with her sexuality? isn't that what most people what in society?- to be accepted? I feel like the reality show has made her look like a slut. I absolutely love Aubrey! I was reading her interview for complex and I LOVED IT! She doesn't hide anything much like most of these little starlets that we admire. I applaud Aubrey for coming out and showing who she really is and defintely for saying F*ck Diddy! Out of all the girls shes the one thats getting work and even though most may say because people have an addiction to a bad girl and a rebel, I believe that she isn't rebeling against anything! she's just being Aubrey! And for people who were puzzled by her statement about doing Playboy to empower women, My exact words were " People are going to flip on this one." Just because people's closed mind would automatically ask the question- " How does getting naked for a magazine empower women?." Well obviously she loves her body and who she is! she is comfortable in her own skin and thats one thing that most people arent, COMFORTABLE IN THEIR SKIN. So what if she parties, Dont you?, So what if she gets drunk, Dont you?, so what if her mind is always in the gutter, Isnt yours?

*SB* LMAO @ Aubrey for saying " I did! and so did D.Woods, ds here today!" when Chelsea said she had been kicked out of Danity Kane.

You can hang Aubrey!

TEAM AUBREY!

Test Your Love

Over the years the term "Relationship", rather it be a friend or someone you're intimate with, has drastically changed. Let us go back to the 50s when divorce was a totaly NO! NO! People got married at the ripe age of 17 or 18 and even if they were happy or not they would sacrifice all they had just so they could avoid the deadly social suicide, divorce. Now today it seems as though relationships last a milisecond and even if they last for months or even years, either they have cheated, don't take the relationship as serious, are just with the person to fill an empty void ( as many people do), or they just dont want to carry that gross label on their forehead, SINGLE. Now let me not be so melodramatic about relationships because through my lifetime I've witnessed a handful of relationships that are worth to admire. Relationships aren't always going to perfect but when I look at the relationships around me its like " Why do people even bother being in one?."NO ONE IS LOYAL AND FAITHFUL, trust me. My outlook on relationships isnt completely in this light! I have been in a few long relationships that have taught me something that no other experience would be able to BUT the most precious lesson I have learned is- You have to love yourself entirely before getting into a relationship because if they can't add to that genuine love that you have for yourself then give 'em the boot!

I'am single and I plan to be for a very long time. I LOVE it this way! Im also completely thankful for my friends relationships because I use them as examples to why Im not in one ( No shade just enlightment), but just recently my best friend has gotten into a " relationship" and its rays of light has made its way through my tunnel. The notion of NO ONE IS LOYAL AND FAITHFUL has kind of turned, slightly.

Look at yourself in the mirror and ask these questions to yourself ( don't worry you're not crazy)

MILLION DOLLAR QUESTIONS:

Do you love yourself completely?

Do you think that it would take a long time for you to get over your partner?

Do you and your partner have a steady income to support a decent lifestyle?

Do you and your partner go out on dates and tell eachother how much you appreciate each other?

If you've answered no to more than two questions then you know the answer.

See with these four questios you have your first question which is love, second which is loyalty, third which is being wise about your present and future, and Fourth which is your communication.

Test it out!

"She's Going To Get her Ass Whooped"

Etta James gets gully during one of her performances! Apparently she's not so fond of Beyonce` (With french accent).

"You guys know your president, right? You know the one with the big ears? Wait a minute, he ain’t my president, he might be yours, he ain’t my president. You know that woman he had singing for him, singing my song. She’s going to get her ass whooped. The Great Beyonce. I can’t stand Beyonce. She has no business sitting up there on a big ole’ president day, singing my song that I’ve been singing forever."

That is too funny!

An Interview With "Carol's Daughter"

"My mom’s name was Carol and I named my company Carol’s Daughter because it all started with being my mother’s child and how she, my father, and my family made me who and what I am today"

I got a chance to sit down and interview the Founder and President of Carol's daughter, Lisa Price, and I asked a couple of questions that I was curious of. Carol's Daughter was created right from Lisa Price's kitchen in Brooklyn, New York. Named after her mother this line has created a rush through the beauty industry and delivering natural products for your body and hair.

INTERVIEW:

Beau Averee: So my favorite body product is "Love Butter"! where did your inspiration come from in creating this amazing product?

Lisa Price: Well the Christmas of 2005 Will & Jada called me and asked me to create a product that reminded them of christmas so I went to me kitchen and created my base for my body butters and added cinnamon, frankincense, and a couple of other things and created "Love Butter".

Beau Averee: So I'm wearing what was made exclusively for Will & Jada?

Lisa Price: Yes! ( laughing) Love Butter got such a great response that I decided to distribute it to all of carol's daughter stores and place it on the shelf.

Beau Averee: Thats good stuff! (laughing) I'm also a fan of your Tui Herbal Shampoo! what are the notes of that shampoo that make it smell so delicious?

Lisa Price: Well there is Guava, passionfruit, and mango along with other ingredients for nourishing the hair but for the most part that is where the scent comes from.

Beau Averee: I LOVE PASSIONFRUIT! (laughing) maybe thats why Im so attracted to it but I just want to say that my readers are going to love these products once I show off the Love Butter!

Lisa Price: (Laughing)

Beau Averee: Thank you so much! and I would say good luck but it seems as though you dont need luck! (laughing)

Lisa Price: Thank you!

Beau Averee's Favorites:

Love Butter
4 oz.
This unisex scent was made on a whim one Christmas as a gift for some special friends and customers. I wanted to give them something we didn't have. The warmth of the season inspired the blend of honey, cinnamon and brown sugar fragrances. Added to the mix is the sexiness of vanilla and amber. It was brought back for Valentine's Day the following year and it's been incredibly popular ever since.

Benefits:
A Carol's Daughter original.
Excellent for dry to extremely dry skin.
Super rich in mango, cocoa and shea butters.
Paraben, mineral oil, petroleum, and artificial color FREE.

Tui Herbal Shampoo
8 fl. oz.

We added more rich conditioning and moisturizing ingredients to create a thicker shampoo that leaves your hair looking and feeling better than ever.
